Texas Democrats - Retreat!
Good grief. What a bunch of morons.
Now that they no longer hold the majority in the Texas Senate and House the Democrats stand to lose some more ground when redistricting comes up for a vote. Rather than vote, they left the state! Republicans are talking about putting out a set of cards so that the DPS troopers can recognize them and bring them back when they find them.
BTW, redistricting is mandated by Federal law to be done after every census…

Angry over redistricting, state reps deny quorum
AUSTIN ? State troopers mounted a multistate search Monday for 53 Democratic state representatives, who hid out so they could deny the House a quorum and stymie a GOP-pushed redistricting bill.
With three weeks left in the legislative session and the House frozen, the disappearing act jeopardizes dozens of bills, including a government reorganization measure whose $300 million in savings already was factored into the House’s balanced budget plan.
